Days of Croatian tourism in Opatija

Central annual meeting of Croatian tourist workers was organized in Opatija this month on 16th and 17th October. It was held in Marino Cvetković expo hall where International Charter Expo is going to be hosted next year in February. This year, Opatija which is often called the cradle of European and Croatian tourism, celebrates 170 years of organized tourism. In organization of Croatian chamber of economy, Ministry of tourism, and Croatian national tourist board, between 1500 and 2000 tourist workers had a chance to meet the members of Croatian Government.
During the Days of Croatian Tourism, Croatian Chamber traditionally organized 14th in a row, “Croatian Tourism Forum”. The theme of this year’s Forum “Trends and challenges in the digital tourism” was focused on presenting the innovations in the tourism industry, discussed through lectures by renowned international experts in the fields of science and industry.
The ceremony of awards in actions “18th Tourist Flower – Quality for Croatia 2014. ” by Croatian chamber of economy and “Man – the key to success in tourism in 2014” and “Croatian National Tourist Award” by Croatian national tourist board, to the best tourist destinations, hotels, camps, marinas, beaches, as well as prominent individuals and institutions creates a positive competitiveness in an increasingly demanding tourist market. Action “Tourist Flower – Quality for Croatia” has traditionally been carried out with the help of professional associations, Association of employers in Croatian hospitality and Croatian camping union, and also The Institute of Social Sciences Ivo Pilar, Association marina at CCE and the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection, and from last year’s campaign Croatian National Tourist Board joined the assessment of destinations.

Same venue, similar theme

On ICE ’15 , among the Croatian charter companies we expect fleet operators from various worldwide destinations; Croatia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Sweden, Norway, BVI, Bahamas and Thailand. The 100 charter exhibitors can take the opportunity to engage in business negotiations with 200 broker partners from all over the world. About half of the charter exhibitors are going to be Croatia-based but we believe that the international exhibitors will make the expo even more interesting to brokers from all over the world.
